Within the activities of "Amli" project, the Association for Palestinian Childhood Enrichment organized an awareness course entitled "Primary Psychiatric Ambulance" for the organizers and coordinators of the joint summer camp, with participation of 18 participants. The course was introduced by facilitator Ibrahim Habboush, during which he covered a number of important themes, most notably the definition of initial psychosocial ambulance and its basic goals and principles, as well as the importance of providing psychosocial support to people undergoing stressful circumstances or situations. They also reviewed the case management mechanisms that call for intervention and initial psychological support, skills needed to listen effectively and communicate positively, contributing to a safe and supportive environment for children during summer camp activities. This course is part of the desire of EASAD Palestine to build the capacity of staff working with children, and enhance their skills in dealing with various situations so as to achieve protection and psychological support for camp participants.
