Awareness-raising meetings aimed at men

The Palestinian Child Welfare Association has carried out awareness-raising meetings aimed at men, as part of the activities of the project "Promoting Resilience and Protecting a Strong Community", in collaboration with Sameh Foundation for Empowerment. It targeted a group of fathers, in the framework of promoting positive parenting skills and supporting healthy family relationships. The activity included the presentation of a collection of representative sketches that depicted various situations in which parents interact with their children in daily life, aiming to highlight different behavioral patterns and their impact on children. A discussion was opened with the participants about behaviors that appeared in each situation, and how they could reflect positively or negatively on children's psychosocial development.nformation was also provided about the concept of positive parenting and its importance in building a relationship based on mutual respect and trust between parents and children, its role in enhancing children's self-confidence, cultivating their sense of security and encouraging their positive behaviors. The activity witnessed a characteristic interaction of the parents, by sharing their personal experiences and questions related to parenting methods and dealing with children, which contributed to enriching dialogue and exchange of experience among participants.
