The Association for the Welfare of Palestinian Children participated in a community forum organized by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) titled: “Community Bullying and Stigmatization of School Dropouts and Drug Users in Askar al-Jadid: Protection and Referral”

Mr. Khalid Masimi, President of the Palestinian Child Welfare Association, accompanied by Mr. Majed Mabrouk, Vice-President of the association, and Sister Tougreed Abukhit Amina Al-Sar, participated in a community forum hosted by the UNRWA: "Community Bullying and Stigma of Leavers and Drug Users in the New Camp: Protection and Referrals" The forum aims to promote community awareness about the impact of bullying and social stigma on children, youth and young people who drop out of school or are affected by drug use hazards, stressing the importance of protection, stigmatization, safe listening, early intervention and referral. Community committees, representatives from grassroots institutions, schools, providers and service providers participated in the forum. EASHAD emphasizes the importance of community partnership in protecting children and youth, fostering a supportive environment based on containment, awareness and early intervention to build a more conscious and cohesive society.
