Recreational Activities Bringing Joy to School Children in Askar Camp

Overview As part of its ongoing commitment to child well-being, the Association of Happiness for the Palestinian Child (AHPC) organized a recreational and movement-based activity for school-aged children in Askar Refugee Camp. The initiative aimed to create a safe and joyful space where children could play, interact, and experience moments of happiness through structured group activities. Why This Matters Children living in challenging environments often face daily pressures that affect their emotional and social well-being. Through recreational programs, AHPC seeks to support children not only academically, but also psychologically and socially—recognizing that play is a vital part of healthy childhood development. What Took Place The activity included a variety of group games designed to encourage: • Physical movement and healthy activity • Teamwork and cooperation • Positive social interaction in a supportive environment The program was led by trained volunteers who ensured a safe, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
